Every woodworker has some of their favorite pieces of lumber hidden in the back of their shop, and they wait for just the right project to come along that would be the best fit for that interesting piece of wood they have been saving for years. This bookmatch pair of slabs were the start of my permanent wood inventory a number of years ago, and have been patiently waiting a chance to show their beautiful wood grain figuring.

Custom welded black steel legs fabricated by Ross Custom Wood Furniture using steel from a local supplier to make for a strong base.

Threaded inserts installed under the table help to make setup and installing the base simple.
